Vicki Boutin Workshop

Wow what an amazing day! Having Vicki here to teach us a full day of workshops was utterly amazing!
We started the day with a lot of laughs and getting to know one another, and then the fun began! Our first class was the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas Snap album, this little album had 75 pages! yes, I said 75 pages! filled with tons of little pockets, tags, and textures.
We started on the front of the album using the Tim Holtz distress stains, distress paints and texture medium.

The afternoon class focused on Tim Holtz products, which included distress stains, paints, inks and texture paste. There were so many new techniques taught to us, I personally am so inspired to try the new products and getting messy!

The front cover is filled with a ton of new techniques and mediums such as texture paste and rock candy crackle paint.
The butterfly steals the show with it’s beauty! we inked it, we crackled it and then we added some shiny distress glitter in gold. When it was dry it was stunning, trust me it’s looks even more beautiful in real life.
The inside of the cover is inked to highlight the green leaves, the birds are a die cut and then sanded using Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock.  We used rubons, mini distress inks and added the tissue leaf with a pretty stick pin.

We completed the Tim Holtz small Configurations book, that was filled with little compartments that held a variety of cool products. There were glass domes, metal pen tips, metal tags, mirrored sheets for the Eiffel Tower, masks, buttons, spools, corks and a bunch of beautiful metal arrows.
The pictures above is my interpretation of Vicki’s beautiful work!
We are so thankful that Vicki was able to fit us into her hectic schedule and we look forward to the next 2 day workshop in the Spring 2015!!!!
thanks for stopping by……..
